BOARD MEETING SYNOPSIS

August 9, 2010

Meeting called to order at 7:30pm by Supervisor Winn.  Pledge of Allegiance recited.  Members present: Parks, Klos, Winn, Christian, & Wittstock. July regular and special minutes approved.  Treasurer’s report approved.  Planning Commission report given by Trustee Wittstock: they reviewed medical marijuana information and will work further on it next meeting.  Fire report given by Assistant Chief Bonner: they responded to 18 runs last month with none billable. Senior report: 12 played cards on 7/7 and 43 attended potluck on 7/27. Park report: Craft Day 8/18 (10am-1pm).  Future Park projects approved, and Steven Job’s Eagle Scout project (funded by Dennis Fetty) is near completion.  Blight issues discussed and funds approved for second application of chloride on township roads.  Closed session to discuss real estate purchase for Waste Water System.  Board member questions and comments:  new hall is nearing completion (move in date will be after tax collecting in September), and many residents are calling about our FEMA rating for flood plain insurance. Audience questions and comments: culvert on Masters Road scheduled for replacement this fall and cemeteries need work done. Motion to pay the bills made and approved.  Motion to adjourn 8:30pm.  A complete copy of the minutes is available at the township hall during business hours.
